Our Story
On December 10th, 1984, Bob Garcia started A.M. Express, INC. After more than a decade of operations, Garcia hired Pat Barron as the company’s accounting manager on January 2, 1996. that set the stage for a new age for A.M. Express, INC. In 1998, Pat made the decision to purchase the company.
When Pat bought A.M. Express there were only 21 tractors and 60 trailers, but Pat had a vision for the company. Over the years the business grew and in 2016 A.M. Express purchased Dow Dawson Trucking that hauled non-hazmat tankers. The acquisition allowed A.M. Express to explore new types of freight and brought the fleet up to 70 tractors, 125 dry-van trailers, and 23 tanker trailers.
In September of 2022 Patrick Barron made the decision to purchase the flatbed hauling company D. Graham Transport INC, based in Spaulding, MI. increasing the services of A.M. Express INC. even further.
Attached to the back of A.M. Express’ main office is Red Pine Equipment Maintenance, which Pat also owns. The knowledgeable and experienced shop teams keeps the fleet in tip-top shape so A.M. Express can continue to provide the best possible service for its customers.
